A few weeks ago my bicycle mysteriously disappeared. I can’t explain what happened – one moment it was locked to a parking metre, and the next…gone forever. As a result, after the skytrain shuts down for the night, the only financially feasible transportation option is my feet, my shoes and the street. A couple nights this week I stayed up way too late at my studio space, drinking red bull, reading BAD IDEA and brushing up on modern Vietnamese social history. The space I rent is on Main, and I live in the west end, so the quickest route home is via Chinatown and the DTES. The last trip back I strapped up with my trusty D80 and snapped some portraits of all the interesting characters that always make the 4am trek home so colourful and stimulating.

Nicely done, I’m digging the night flash series. The results are awesome for a a dude I thought was averse to using a flash. Fresh!

PS. Bad Idea is sick.
