Picked up the latest issue of FRUiTS today and it looks like those ever dependable Tokions are keeping it nice and tidy. If you’ve never flipped through a copy, FRUiTS has a very simple content flow: each issue contains 80-odd pages of head-to-toe streetshots with details outlined in the footer. Arguably the most influential fashion magazine of the past decade, I love FRUiTS because it has inspired a generation of girls to embrace a fashion style that is eclectic, expressive, haphazard but always well executed. Plus anything that helps subvert the mall aesthetic gets an A+ in my books.

Comment by cloverbell August 5, 2008 @ 11:43 pmThis magazine is oh-so-very inspiring! Try reading “The Tokyo Look Book” by Philomena Keet. It has tons of English information on sub-cultures and fashion in Tokyo. Well~ if you know it already, you don’t need me to tell you that, eh!
